OneHope is partnering with VisionArt Studios in Colombia to develop an animated short film for preteens and youth in Latin America. Inspired by a true story, Rose is a motorbike racer who encounters Jesus during a brutal crash that threatens her life and her eternity. Through a compelling storyline and engaging visuals, young people are invited to identify with Rose’s personal struggles and join her on her journey of getting to know Jesus in a real and intimate way. In the midst of abandonment and insecurity, Rose discovers a love that redefines her entire identity, and she chooses to follow Jesus. Through this film, we believe that many youth will do the same!
Rose is an exciting, new short film for preteens and youth in Latin America. The content allows them to interact with the Word of God and addresses the issue of anxiety and depression through the character named Rose.
According to the Global Youth Culture report, 55% of Latin America teens experienced high anxiety within the last three months and 39% experienced depression within the past three months. The goal of this program is to see teens leave anxiety and depression behind, as they identify with Rose, who faces circumstances and goes to the limit to decide to reaffirm her relationship with God.
